Friends of the Academy,
We have set our virtual summit for Sunday, April 2nd at 2:00 pm Eastern Time. Please join us for some spirited fencing presentations! The last conference we held was well attended, had great presentations and panels, and was well received by all. This year will feature a presentation by Christian Olbrich on the Italian Foil and one by myself on the elusive French quinte parry! In addition, we have a few others who will present their scholarship of Classical fencing. If YOU would like to present something, please drop me a line and let me know at Geraci51@aol.com Finally, you do not need to be a member to attend the conference. If you are USFCA member, a Classical fencing practitioner, a HEMA or SCA fencer, or just interested in historical fencing, please drop me a line. Links will go out before the conference. Please REGISTER HERE
Additionally, we would like to take this opportunity to tell you about the many changes that have come to the academy. I would like to take the opportunity to thank many of our members who answered the call after Walter’s death and made the continuation of the CAA possible. Many opportunities have recently come up and we may need some volunteers for leadership positions. We would also like your input on what you would like to see in the future. This is a great time to be a part of the CAA!
Thank you all for your patience and continued enthusiasm for Classical Fencing.
Dr. Paul Geraci
Interim President, Classical Academy of Arms
